Lindsay Tomasic and Jesse Fitzpatrick
Copper Country natives, Lindsay Tomasic and Jesse Fitzpatrick of Trees have been crafting songs and creating fine acoustic music since the early1970ʼs. They first appeared as teenagers, effortlessly creating original songs on traditional instruments and harmonizing with an impeccable vocal blend reminiscent of siblings. The earthy, acoustic sound of Trees created a buzz that has now spanned over three decades, and just keeps getting better with time.
Seeking to broaden their musical horizons, Trees moved to Ann Arbor in the late 1970ʼs, where they worked with a wide array of notable area musicians. Inspired by well known folk singers of the time, Lindsay and Jesse grew as artists and musicians, cultivating traditional song crafting yet creating their unique style of intricately woven vocal harmonies. They began to perform consistently at a variety of Michigan-based music and art festivals and well known venues such as The ARK in Ann Arbor.
Lindsay now lives in Los Angeles, working full time in the music business as a composer, recording artist and owner of a music licensing catalog for TV and Film. Jesse resides in the Calumet, Michigan area, and is actively involved in the music and art community. Despite being separated by miles, the duo comes together several times a year to perform and record. Over the past few years, they have been headliners at Hiawatha Music Festival in Marquette, MI ‘The Ark’ and ‘Top Of The Park’ concert series in Ann Arbor, MI The Calumet Theatre and Porcupine Mountain Music Festival. Trees have recently performed a series of concerts in the Los Angeles and in the Central Coast of California. Lindsay and Jesse have made guest appearances on a number of radio shows in both the Copper Country as well as in California.
Trees latest album, “One Voice” highlights their vocal and acoustic guitar styles, along with a cast of incredible musicians. It is available at their live shows as well as on iTunes.
